I would love to come but Nottingham is a long way to travel after work. Will there be regional events with the same speakers. There has to be a mass response to this bill reminicent of the the laws passed against workers organising in the early 19th century.
Paul – we are looking at regional events, but the Bill get its second reading in September – time is tight.
Hi Paul,
We are in the process of organising a Nottingham event. Would you come to that? Keep an eye on the People’s Assembly Nottingham website for more details.

Different Unions meeting is about time, it’s what this country needs. How best to resist the Tory onslaught? We need to show them that this Bill is dead, that the consequences, in the unlikely event that we allow this Bill to become law, will not be to their benefit. The Union leaders are meeting, next they have to get their members to meet and protest where it affects the Tories. Scare them so they do what we want for the short time they remain in power. We also need to beware of many of the Labour members who belong with the Tories.
I agree it’s about time! But it is up to YOU! Why dont you get together with friends and ORGANise your local public meeting?
It doesn’t have to be Celebrity names. You must know some local people who are angry about the Cuts and the Anti-TU LAWS. get them to address you in a small meeting of frinds and then widen it to the other Unions. It worked in Doncaster. People who want to fight are frustrated – they just need a lead! DO IT
Good Luck to Nottingham and You
Yours fraternally, Lois
If you want to organise something like you suggest we will be there. We are doing local meetings on the Trade Union Bill. So let us know if you are interested.
Looking forward to getting involved!
We need all the help we can get!!
The postcode is incorrect in this poster. It is WC1H 9BD. The H is missing from the postcode above, and leads you somewhere completely different!
Yep we spotted that Tom!!
Not on Facebook. Can’t be in London on the 29th but support the campaign wholeheartedly.
only one way to deal with the tories, defy them, the suferagettes did, what women can do real men do also.
A strong trade union movement is an important element of the British values we are supposed to be defending.
Difficult getting down to London, but happy to support meetings in Manchester and other Northern venues.
Best wishes
Looking forward to coming along and showing support for an attack on a democratic freedom from a government with 37% of the vote.
