EU Employment Rights Under Attack – EU Commissioner Andor To Speak In London

images-6The Tories have fired starting gun on what they say will be negotiations to ‘repatriate powers relating to social and employment laws’. The “powers” they have in mind include laws related to working time (including paid holidays); agency workers; maternity and childcare rights and health & safety.

On 26th February the IPPR will be holding a debate fronted by  László Andor, European commissioner for employment, social affairs and inclusion, who will deliver a keynote speech on the topic ‘Living standards in Europe and the importance of social investment’. Also on the platform will be Frances O’Grady, General Secretary of the Trades Union Congress.
