60 US Unions Oppose Fast Track Trade Deals

An unprecedented number of US unions, sixty in all, have signed a letter opposing the ‘fast tracking’ of trade deals.

The unions represent all sectors of the US economy, with unions from inside the US umbrella union organisation the AFL-CIO alongside unions outside of the  organisation.

The letter can be downloaded here and the video above of Richard Trumka President of the AFL-CIO explains how ‘fast track’ works and is not in the interest of working people and trade union members.

Thanks to Ben Davis of the United Steelworkers.
